How much do you know about chocolate? Try our simple quiz to test your knowledge.




1.       Does chocolate really grow on trees?

Ans: Yes! Cocao seeds come from the cacao fruit of the Theobroma cacao tree, which grows in the area between 20 degrees north and 20 degrees south of the equator.

2.       Isn’t cocao just cocoa misspelt?

Ans: No. Cocoa is not the same as cacao. Cocoa is half cacao, half cocoa butter.

3.       When did chocolate bars first appear?

Ans: Chocolate was served in liquid form until sometime around 1660 when crude versions of chocolate bars began appearing in London.

4.       What is the most complex food known to man (and woman)?
              Ans:  Cacao. It has 512 and counting complex compounds. Broccoli is next with just 60. I know       which I prefer…..
